Hope House a Preble Street lowbarrier shelter located in Bangor Maine provides shelter and intensive services to individuals experiencing homelessness in a 24hour traumainformed environment grounded in social work best practices.
The Hope House Shelter Navigator is responsible for maintaining the safety of Hope House residents and for skills building activities daily living skills support crisis intervention and coverage activities during shifts. This position ensures the collection documentation and reporting of information and data as required; and works as a member of the Hope House team to support and achieve outcomes aligned with program goals and the agency mission.
Population Served: Individuals who are experiencing homelessness.
Schedule: Sunday Thursday 6am2:30pm
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Bachelors degree in social work or related field of study and experience in direct service provision to people experiencing homelessness or comparable combination of education and relevant experience.
Required skills and knowledge include:
The hourly rate of pay for this fulltime 40 hours/week) position is $22.45 per hour. As a direct service position in a 24/7 program this position is eligible for shift differentials of $1.00 per hour for all hours actually worked between the hours of 7:00am and 10:00pm or $2.00 per hour for all hours actually worked between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:00 am.
