Responsibilities
Performing experiments and managing an independent research project; techniques may include: tissue dissection protein isolation and cellular subfractionation. phosphoprotein enrichment affinity purification for mass spectrometry. 1D/2D PAGE and Western blotting. preparation of samples for liquid chromatographymass spectrometry. analysis of proteomic datasets (pathway enrichment gene ontogeny enrichment analysis use of online tools. twophoton and confocal microscopy. optogenetics/chemogenetics. in vitro and in vivo transfections (viral vectors). mRNA/protein isolation basic cloning techniques . RT PCR (quantitative and single cell). Commit to actively fostering a welcoming culture of community and belonging. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. in biochemistry neuroscience or a related life sciences field and 03 years of postdoctoral experience. Experience in protein biochemistry LCMS MALDI and software tools for proteomics dataset analysis is highly desirable. Experience in the neurobiology of pain is advantageous but not required.
