JOB TITLE: Campus Operations Manager (COM)
JobType: Full time
Contract Days: 220 Days
Reports to: Director of Operations
Location: Wayside Schools

JOB GOAL: This position is responsible for managing the schools general business operations under the overall supervision of the Director of Operations.
OVERVIEW: Reporting directly to the Director of Operations (DOM) with additional oversight from two school principals the Campus Operations Manager (COM) is responsible for all aspects of school operations not directly related to instruction or student behavior. This role supports two distinct schools operating under one roof and works closely with both principals to ensure smooth daytoday functioning across both campuses. The COM is a central team member within the Wayside Schools (WS) Network model designed to relieve principals of noninstructional duties so they can focus on student achievement and staff development. The COMs responsibilities span a wide range of operational functions including overseeing school budgets and financial planning managing procurement and resource allocation coordinating data collection and analysis and ensuring that both schools have the materials and systems needed to thrive. In addition the COM supervises campus operations staff including two receptionists and plays a key leadership role in maintaining a highfunctioning efficient and welcoming school environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelors Degree from an accredited fouryear educational institution (preferred)
Experience
A minimum of 5years of experience in operations or similar role in education or similar organization
Skills and Mindsets
Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
Excellent organizational and communication skills with a good command of the English language and vocabulary.
A high level of selfawareness including transparent understanding of ones strengths and weaknesses
Highly skilled ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize problem solve and navigate through ambiguity
High level of flexibility and openness to change
Desire to serve as a team member and work collaboratively to serve campus community Ability to exercise excellent judgment in decisionmaking;
Knowledge of the laws rules procedures and programs specifically related to the business operation of public charter schools in Texas.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
I. Budget and Finance
Work closely with the Principals Director of Operations and the Network Support Staff(NST) to develop and manage the schools budget & staffing plan.
Ensure adherence to school fiscal policies & procedures for a clean financial internal/external audit; by maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions and submit them to the WS network finance staff for processing; & reviewing/accounting for budget variances; monitor usage of the school procurement; as well as identify and manage corrective and enhancement actions.
Assist in supporting and training campus and network personnel with issues and understanding of ordering PO process etc.
Assist in maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions and submit them to the NST for processing;
II. School Operations
Oversee all essential aspects of school operations (e.g. timesheets accounts payable IT school safety procurement certification(s) school culture system logistics facility appearance schools supply and asset inventory schools food and transportation services by coordinating with departments and overseeing deliveries etc.
Oversees of special events such as field lessons graduation staff appreciation week staff retreats etc.
Work closely with the enrollment team and scholar data department to ensure the campus is fully enrolled as well ensuring student records are properly maintained and updated at the school while maintaining a sufficient waitlist host external visitors assist with governance and compliance issues with the support of the enrollment and scholar data departments.
With the support of WSs network office ensure compliance with all state federal and local employment laws and policies.
Ensure the maintenance of campus facilities by managing custodial personnel and thirdparty contracts for trash removal recycling and security.
Receive and process any maintenance or technology request throughout the school year. Assist to develop and establish effective operations management solutions inclusive of techniques and processes
III. Management/Leadership Oversight including but not limited to):
Directly supervise other campus operations team members.
Serve on campus and/or Network committees
Manage operational aspects of the school; support leadership as requested with other aspects such as communication with staff & parents (e.g. newsletters); process new hires and maintain
employee records to prepare and support their schoolfacility culture.
IV. Transportation:
Serve as the point of contact for our scholars and/or parents
Work closely with our transportation department to ensure the safety of our scholars
Handle parent(s) issues and determine next steps
V. Vendors
Work closely with existing vendors to maintain relationships

POLICY and REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
Attend training and complete research to understand applicable state statutes local policies/procedures and federal & state compliance requirements
Wayside Schools handbooks and procedures manuals: Work with administrators to check and assist with adherence in all areas. Suggest changes to documents as necessary.
