POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrates commitment to companys mission values and standards of ethical behavior.
- Models a positive and professional image that emulates the organizations mission and encourages a spirit of cooperation with coworkers. Provides assistance to coworkers and promotes teamwork by sharing information useful to achieving desired results.
- Ensures that all residents are treated fairly with kindness dignity and respect and their rights are protected at all times.
- Respects and upholds all residents personal and property rights whenever carrying out duties including knocking before entering a residents room.
- Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensures that dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies production sheets and recipes including the use of adaptive devices per instructions.
- Serves meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
- Setsup tray cards food carts dining room etc. as instructed for meal service.
- Assists in ensuring that meals are prepared and delivered on time and at proper temperature.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous dietary experience in acute or long term care environment preferred
- Completion of Food Handling training and certification
