We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead a team building innovative experiences using AI to enhance content creation and management.
What We Do
The AWS TCX Engineering team owns all of the tools that support the creation and delivery of AWS Documentation. We innovate we research we learn and we experiment. We collaborate with product managers to understand our customers needs. In this role you will lead a team of engineers building solutions from design through deployment and support using the best of available tools including AI (Bedrock Q others) Lambda and DynamoDB. You will be responsible for building and growing a highperforming engineering team while maintaining high code quality standards optimizing development processes and fostering a culture of mentorship and continuous learning. You should be invested in helping our customers understanding that it is important to pair infrastructure with the ability to properly manage it at scale. Most importantly you should be comfortable leading in a fastpaced environment where delivery of new products and features is very rapid. AWS Documentation is a critical part of our cloud and AI is rapidly transforming how content is created managed and consumed.
The right candidate will possess proven software engineering and people management skills with experience leading teams that create and launch large distributed systems. You are expected to be versatile able to thrive in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment and passionate about developing engineering talent. You are comfortable managing competing priorities and are able to bring order to ambiguous scenarios. Maturity impeccable judgment and the ability to influence and lead are essential to success in this role. You are datadriven and analytical. You can clearly & effectively communicate (written as well as verbally) across organizations and up to senior leadership.

3 years of engineering team management experience
7 years of engineering experience
8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
