We are seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Controller to lead our accounting team and serve as a key strategic partner in financial planning and decisionmaking. This is an inoffice position located at our insert location facility.
Position Overview:
The Controller will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and oversee all financial and accounting functions ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with GAAP. This individual will play a critical role in cost analysis budgeting forecasting and ERP optimization to drive operational efficiencies and informed decisionmaking.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including AP AR GL payroll and fixed assets.
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements monthly closing and variance analysis.
Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts in coordination with department heads.
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance with GAAP and company procedures.
Analyze manufacturing costs and product margins; partner with operations to drive cost improvements.
Lead and support financial audits and tax preparation with external partners.
Utilize ERP systems to enhance reporting streamline workflows and ensure data accuracy.
Provide training and support for accounting and operations staff on ERP functionality.
Collaborate with the CFO on strategic financial planning and performance analysis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role.
Strong background in manufacturing accounting including standard costing and inventory management.
Handson experience with ERP systems is required; Epicor Kinetic experience is strongly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
Exceptional analytical organizational and communication skills.
Proven leadership experience and ability to manage and develop a team.
