As an experienced Music Teacher you will play a pivotal role in nurturing students musical talents and guiding them through their educational journey.
The Role
As an experienced Music Teacher you will:
Deliver highquality music lessons to students across Key Stage 3 4 and 5 ensuring they develop both practical and theoretical knowledge of music
Develop a varied curriculum that inspires students and fosters a love for music including teaching music theory composition and performance skills
Guide students in individual and group performances enhancing their instrumental vocal and composition skills
Collaborate with the music team to refine and improve the curriculum ensuring it meets the needs of all students and encourages them to reach their full potential
Assess student progress through regular feedback helping students track their development and achieve academic success
Lead and contribute to extracurricular activities such as school concerts ensembles and music clubs creating additional opportunities for student engagement in the subject
Take a leadership role within the department mentoring junior staff and supporting the strategic direction of the music programme
Inspire students to connect music to their broader educational experience fostering an understanding of how music enriches their lives and the world around them
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Music Teacher who is committed to delivering outstanding music education. As an experienced Music Teacher you will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Music or a related field
Proven experience in teaching music at Key Stages 3 4 and 5 with a strong track record of student achievement
Indepth knowledge of music theory performance composition and music history
Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support colleagues within the department
A creative approach to curriculum development ensuring lessons are engaging challenging and meet the needs of all learners
The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best in both individual and group performances
Strong communication skills able to effectively engage with students parents and staff
A commitment to extracurricular music activities and fostering a vibrant music culture within the school
