Responsibilities:
Review and analyze contracts/legal documents and assist in contract negotiations
Prepare monthly reports and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Serve as a liaison with outside attorneys
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
Manage case files and maintain organized records
Communicate with clients contractors and other parties involved in construction projects
Draft correspondence pleadings and other legal documents
Coordinate and schedule meetings depositions and court appearances
Perform administrative tasks such as court filings scanning and data entry
Other duties may be assigned as necessary
Required Experience and Skills:
Paralegal certification or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a paralegal role preferably in the commercial construction industry
Strong analytical and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to work under pressure
Must have excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
