You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Pressing Supervisor leads daytoday operations on the assigned shift in the Pressing Department. This role is responsible for driving safety meeting production goals ensuring product quality managing staff and executing Lean/6S practices. The ideal candidate will be a handson leader committed to continuous improvement and employee engagement.
Champion a culture of safety and model best practices in the Pressing team.
Foster and lead a culture aligned with company values and objectives.
Collaborate with management technical experts and team members for goal alignment.
Ensure team engagement through strong twoway communication.
Define responsibilities and recognize team performance.
Drive interdepartmental collaboration and accountability.
Maintain internal quality compliance across all production outputs.
Review production records to identify and act on improvement opportunities.
Monitor equipment to ensure optimal safe performance.
Coordinate with Maintenance for equipment readiness.
Ensure seamless shift transitions.
Encourage team input for process improvements and escalate actionable suggestions.
Support development and adherence to IMS procedures and work instructions.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Technical high school diploma or equivalent required.
3 5 years experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
Prior supervisory experience required.
Strong understanding of safety regulations in an industrial setting.
Experience with:
Quality control and Root Cause Analysis
Statistical Process Control
6S/Lean and continuous improvement practices
Proficiency in:
Microsoft Office (Word Outlook Excel)
Power BI
SAP
Strong communicator with proven teambuilding and problemsolving abilities.
Open to change new processes and ownership of decisions.
Indoor/outdoor setting with exposure to various environmental elements (heat cold rain dust etc..
Operation of heavy equipment and standard office equipment.
Must be able to perform physical tasks including:
Lifting (up to 50 lbs)
Walking sitting standing
Bending kneeling climbing
Follow all company Health & Safety policies.
Comply with EHS and IMS expectations and documentation.
Demonstrate responsibility in alignment with NAM Regional Safety Rules.
