Senior Transportation Planner Project Manager
AECOM is offering an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Transportation Planner Project Manager to provide inhouse consulting services with Floridas Turnpike Enterprise. As a prominent toll agency the Florida Department of Transportation Floridas Turnpike Enterprise oversees over 500 miles of limited access roadways across Florida.
As a Senior Transportation Planner and Project Manager youll have the autonomy to manage projects independently making thoughtful adaptations and modifications as needed. Youll also tackle complex or innovative assignments and research developing new or enhanced techniques and procedures. This role offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to showcase your expertise and drive impactful results. To excel in this role youll need to effectively communicate with clients consultants and AECOM staff within the Turnpikes Intermodal Systems Development group ensuring topquality documentation of transportation project studies. Your ability to stay organized analyze and solve problems and see assignments through to timely completion will be crucial. An understanding of the unique requirements of transportation planning for the toll industry will also be highly valued.

- Develop work scopes schedules and budgets for exciting transportation planning projects.
- Oversee contributions from specialists in traffic engineering travel demand modeling GIS financial analysis and more.
- Prepare essential project documents including Technical Memoranda Feasibility Reports and Traffic and Revenue Studies.
- Conduct planning analysis of current and future land use utilizing GIS to understand development patterns and forecasts.
- Lead briefings to share transportation project results with clients stakeholders and interested parties.
- Regularly summarize project progress in clear concise reports.
- Direct field data acquisition site investigations and surveys.
- Assess transportation systems roadway levels of service and forecast future transportation needs.
- Define research and report on regional and local transportation planning issues and priorities.
- Lead and support public meetings or hearings to explain projects gather feedback and build consensus.
- Evaluate the transportationrelated impacts of federal and state legislative proposals and conduct policy analysis.
In this pivotal role you will join a dynamic team engaged in a diverse array of highprofile transportation projects. You will have the opportunity to introduce innovative ideas influence strategic plans and processes and lead the forefront of transportation planning and design in Florida. You will be a key member of the Turnpikes Intermodal Systems Development group responsible for a variety of planning projects and studies. Your expertise in transportation planning project feasibility evaluations and master planning will be invaluable to our mission.
Qualifications :
Minimum:
- Bachelors degree in engineering planning public policy or a related field.
- 8 years as a Transportation Planner or Engineer including experience as a Project/Task Manager for transportation projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- A valid US Drivers License is needed to visit project sites clients and other AECOM offices. As part of the job youll need to pass a US Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred:
- Masters degree in a related field
- Certifications or licenses; AICP PE or PTP is a plus.
- Project Management: Experience in managing transportation planning engineering or corridor studies is highly appreciated.
- Experience with Floridas planning and growth management processes is beneficial.
- Experience with ESRI Arc Map GIS is great and GIS Pro.
- Experience in technical writing public speaking and presentations
