This position currently qualifies for a hybrid telework option with routine office and remote workdays. The NC Department of Environmental Quality trusts our employees to be selfmotivated and successful in hybrid/remote roles. Telework options are subject to change at the discretion of management.
This position serves as a Division Grants Administrator with a complex degree of scope and multiple functions. Responsible for weekly invoicing process for SEOs Grants and Contracts. Processes reimbursement requests from sub grantees and/or subrecipients. Reconciles monthly expenditure reports. Coordinate review and evaluate federal and state grants for compliance accuracy and accountability of financial programs and business operations related to the unique grant programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review program grants to ensure expenditures are aligned with approved budget and scope of work; collaborate with internal State Energy Office team to ensure adherence to all grant requirements.
- Responsible for reviewing generating and routing monthly invoices for successful payment processing.
- Generating expenditure reports for appropriate grants and contracts budget funds
- Ensures timely monthly quarterly and annual grant reports for distribution to program and technical staff.
- Responsible for reconciling grant ledgers for accuracy. Performs necessary reclasses and/or fund shifts for management review.
- Maintain files and records as required by State and Federal record retention law regulations and policies.

Bachelors degree in accounting finance business administration public administration or a related discipline from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
