The Randolph Public School District is seeking a dynamic educational leader to serve as Principal of the Randolph Community Middle School (RCMS). RCMS is a grade 68 school of approximately 640 students 60 teachers/specialists two fulltime Assistant Principals and two Dean of Students positions. Randolph is one of the most diverse communities in the state of Massachusetts resting about 10 miles south of the city of Boston. Our diverse population of approximately 3000 students represent 40 different countries speaking 33 different languages and dialects including HaitianCreole Vietnamese Spanish and Portuguese to name a few. We have four K5 elementary schools one 68 middle school one 912 high school and a PreK program. Performance Duties and Responsibilities:Administer the operations of the school. Supervise the schools educational all aspects of school facilities and responsibility for the safety and administration of the school high expectations for all students and staff and a commitment to providing the support required to attain a safe and nurturing environment for students staff and cultural competencies and equitable leadership practices through behaviors and and implement a Whole School Improvement Plan that sets the direction for school improvement efforts that are aligned with the districts strategic student performance data to inform school improvement efforts and benchmark and implement a diversified professional development strategy that addresses instructional improvement priorities defined by student achievement and the individual needs of staff daily classroom observations to analyze instruction; supervises staff to ensure continuous improvement in teaching and that the learning needs of all students Special Education Multilingual Learners and Regular Education are and ultimately eliminate achievement gaps through classroom interventions school culture and programming beyond the school a collegial environment that honors and encourages staffs continuous teacher leadership through delegation and shared leadership and the use of time people money and materials to schools instructional and sustain meaningful partnerships with families and community members that support student achievement and school committee meetings on a semiregular responsibility for the implementation and observance of school committee policies and to appropriate central office administrative personnel regarding the needs of the school with respect to personnel equipment supplies and close contact with all interested parties including students school staff parents and the guides for proper student conduct and for maintaining student in the recruiting screening hiring training assigning and evaluating of the schools professional responsibility for the attendance conduct and health of good interpersonal relations among students and an awareness of factors outside the school that affect the school abreast of trends developments and research as they pertain to education and school decisive leadership in crisis other duties as is on an individual contract full year with 25 vacation days.
