About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and strategic Brand Community Manager to be the foundational pillar of our fan engagement strategy. You will be the voice of our brands and the champion of our community responsible for nurturing our existing global audience and building vibrant dedicated fanbases for our new emerging IPs. This role is a unique opportunity to build a community from the ground up working directly with visionary creators and connecting their art to fans worldwide. You will be instrumental in transforming our digital presence into a thriving ecosystem where fans can connect share and celebrate the IPs they love.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive multi-platform community strategy to grow and engage our fanbases across YouTube Instagram TikTok and other relevant platforms.
- Manage and moderate our existing our community channels ensuring a positive and engaging environment for our younger audience and their families.
- Lead the launch and growth of new communities for our creator-led IPs.
- Build and nurture strong collaborative relationships with our partner creators acting as the key liaison between them and our internal teams.
- Plan and manage a content calendar that supports our IP launch roadmap including behind-the-scenes content creator Q&As live-streaming events and user-generated content campaigns.
- Analyze community engagement metrics and social listening data to provide actionable insights and regular reports to the marketing content and product development teams.
- Serve as the authentic voice of the community internally ensuring that fan feedback and insights are integrated into future content and product decisions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align community activities with broader brand campaigns and prepare for the future integration of e-commerce platforms.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in online community management social media management or a related role.
- Proven experience growing and managing communities for a kids & family entertainment toy or collectibles brand is highly preferred.
- Expert-level knowledge of YouTube as a platform for community building along with deep familiarity with Instagram TikTok and Discord.
- Demonstrable experience with creator and/or influencer marketing with a talent for building authentic relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
- A genuine passion for animation character-based storytelling and the creator economy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in entertainment gaming anime or character IP industries
- Experience with D2C e-commerce community strategies.
- Experience marketing to a global multicultural audience.
- Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools (e.g. Sprout Social Hootsuite Google Analytics).
