Pay : $17.60/hr to start
Job Summary:
The Grounds and Facilities Maintenance Worker will be responsible for minor electrical mechanical and plumbing related repairs throughout the facility and on the grounds. This person will ensure that the exterior areas are kept in a good clean condition. This position will also assist in repairs to buildings offices garage wash bay and shop equipment and assists the parts room personnel by driving to pick up parts etc.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Complete general building maintenance. Repair and paint doors windows walls ceilings roofs and other parts of the buildings.
- Perform minor electrical repairs throughout interior and exterior areas including but not limited to lights and light bulb replacements.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs throughout the buildings including but not limited to toilet and sink repairs.
- Maintain company buildings and grounds in clean and efficient manner. Maintain trash and recycling receptacles around the facility.
- Keep mechanical equipment in working condition and fix as necessary.
- Perform installation and/or replacements of floor and ceiling tiles stairs and piping as needed.
- Pick up parts from vendors using company provided vehicles.
- Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of how to safely use common power and hand tools required for repairs.
- Detail oriented and selfmotivated able to identify areas needing repair or maintenance.
- Safety conscientious.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problemsolving skills.
- Punctual to work.
Required Education and Experience:
- Prior experience as a handyman maintenance mechanic building maintenance tech or similar role.
- Experience making minor electrical repairs (e.g. changing light bulbs ballasts and repairing or replacing outlets).
- Experience installing and replacing plumbing system parts.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
Physical Requirements:
- Must pass drug and alcohol screenings and physical exam.
- Be able to stand bend kneel squat twist turn and reach.
- Be able to climb up and down ladders.
- Be able to work safely in a noisy area with fumes chemicals and dust present.
- Be able to lift 75 pounds push and pull 100 pounds.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends as needed or per your schedule.
