Job Description
Role:Security Officer (Unarmed)
Location:Aspen/Pitkin County Airport
Shift:8 Hours Swing Shift. 3:00 PM 11:00 PM)
Schedule:FullTime
Pay:$27.50/HR
Requirements:
Reliable transportation
Ability to pass criminal background and additional airport security background screenings
We are seeking Security Officers for an airport in Aspen Colorado. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of airline staff airport staff TSA personnel and travelers by enforcing security procedures and managing potentially highrisk situations. Youll work closely with team members to identify and mitigate risks ensuring the safety of all personnel and patrons. Ideal candidates will have certifications such as a baton permit pepper spray permit and CPR certification though these are not required. The ability to collaborate effectively and thoroughly document incidents is essential for this position.
Job Functions
- Security Presence & Defense: Serve as the first line of defense for clients and sites
- Hazard Awareness: Identify and address safety concerns
- Risk Assessment: Conduct ongoing risk evaluations
- Access Control: Manage access to restricted areas and information
- Guidance: Direct and assist patrons visitors and staff.
- Customer Service: Deliver positive interactions with a pleasant and helpful demeanor
- Collaboration: Work with local law enforcement and other security personnel to maintain highest safety standards
- Incident Response:Respond to client security concerns and reports of incidents as they come through the dispatch line
- Incident Documentation: Record and report all security and safety incidents and concerns
Requirements
- Employment Eligibility: Provide 2 forms of ID and eligibility/authorization to work in the US
- Education: High School diploma or GED
- Attitude: Maintain a calm professional and customer serviceoriented demeanor
- Language Skills: Fluent in English speaking reading/writing. Spanish is a bonus
- Screening: Ability to pass a urinalysis (site dependent) criminal background check and TSA background
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from work
- Tech Literacy: Basic technology skills and ownership of a working smartphone and accessible email account
- Physical Ability: Can stand sit walk jog crouch bend over and carry 50lbs in a variety of weather conditions and work environments
$27.50 $27.50 an hour
