Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the AWS GenAI team. This role will own end to end finance support including P&L management and planning for Generative AI services. Additionally this role will drive strategic new Generative AI feature launches and process improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively manage multiple and time sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance Owning the GenAI services end to end and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures Support strategic new GenAI features launch and adhoc requests and assist in various requests from finance and business leadership. Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations. Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize streamline and prioritize improvements remove roadblocks and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.
5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science) or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process reengineering quality assurance) experience 5 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience 5 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decisionmaking experience Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience MBA or CPA Knowledge of SQL/ETL
