Amazon is looking for a Financial Analyst II to join the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team. This Analyst will support our Legal organization in managing headcount and outside counsel spend. This individual will own and analyze data in Headcount and drive improvement to the reporting infrastructure through automation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fastpaced dynamic environment and be able to manage multiple competing priorities effectively. The successful candidate will develop/refine models and metrics packages in addition to handling daytoday activities such as forecasting/planning and projects. You will leverage your educational and applied work experience to help streamline planning/reporting as well as identify improvement and prioritization opportunities within these business areas. You will also manage appropriate monthend close processes and assist in financial review meetings with the various business groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the Legal headcount reports collaborating with the internal teams to ensure that all headcount is correctly tracked reflected and reported
Provide insightful reports to explain monthly and quarterly drivers of variances between actual performance and planned Headcount.
Manage the headcount planning process for Legal by developing and maintaining upload templates
Assist in completing the planning cycles by uploading and verifying inputs
Complete monthend processes for legal operating expenses
Assist in providing business support to various finance teams by providing data driven insights into variances and trends
Drive continuous improvement simplification and automation of current and future Legal reports
3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science)
Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
MBA or CPA
Knowledge of Tableau
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128800/year in our highest geographic market.
