Position Overview: We are seeking a detailoriented and dedicated Monitor Technician to join our team. As a Monitor Technician you will play a crucial role in patient care by monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms and providing timely alerts to healthcare providers in case of abnormalities. Your vigilance and quick response will contribute significantly to the wellbeing and safety of our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor cardiac rhythms of patients through telemetry equipment.
  • Recognize and interpret cardiac arrhythmias and other abnormalities.
  • Notify appropriate healthcare providers promptly in case of critical findings.
  • Maintain accurate records of cardiac monitoring data and patient information.
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and appropriate patient care.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to monitoring equipment as needed.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures including those related to patient privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in cardiac monitoring preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Monitor Technician or similar role in a healthcare setting is desirable.
  • Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
