Join Our Team as a Dual Mental Health Clinician!

Are you passionate about providing integrated personcentered care Do you thrive in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment The Integrated Care Team at Old Town Recovery Center is looking for a dedicated Dual Mental Health Clinician to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges.

As a key member of our team youll provide counseling case management and dual diagnosis treatment working alongside Peer Support Specialists Case Managers Housing Specialists PMHNPs and Social Workers. Your role will be essential in addressing the wholeperson needs of our clients including crisis management medication support mental and physical health coordination and housing stability.

  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention for clients with cooccurring disorders
  • Work closely with community partners residential facilities and medical providers to ensure seamless care

Location: Old Town Recovery Center

Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00am5:00pm

Salary Starting at: $65000 annually & increases with professional experience and licensure/certifications!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must meet qualifications for:
    • QMHPC
    • LPCA or LPC
    • LMFT
    • CSWA or LCSW
  • CADCR certification at minimum is required.
  • CADC1 2 or 3 HIGHLY preferred
  • Relevant Masters degree required.
  • Must be registered with MHACBO as at minimum QMHPR.
  • Experience with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) preferred.
  • Current CPR certification is required prior to start.
  • Has the competencies necessary to:
    • Identify precipitating events
    • Gather histories of mental emotional and physical disabilities alcohol and drug use past mental health services and criminal justice contacts
    • Assess family social and work relationships
    • Conduct a mental status assessment
    • Document a DSM5 diagnosis
    • Write and implement or supervise implementation of a treatment plan
    • Conduct and document a mental health assessment
    • Provide mental health treatment and rehabilitative services within ones scope of practice
  • Must meet CCC privileging requirements as required by FTCA.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Will be required to carry an agency cell phone for work use. Cell phone will be provided by Central City Concern.
  • Ability to adhere to Central City Concerns drugfree workplace which encourages a safe healthy and productive work environment and strictly complies with the DrugFree Work Place Act of 1988. An employee shall not in the workplace unlawfully manufacture distribute dispense possess or use a controlled substance or alcohol.
  • Must have reliable personal transportation for regular outreach activities. If using a vehicle for agency use: Must possess a current drivers license access to a vehicle qualify as an Acceptable Driver as designated in Central City Concerns Fleet Safety policy; pass an initial drivers training within 60 days of being an approved driver and continued recertification training; and maintain vehicle insurance coverage of a minimum of onehundred thousand/threehundred thousand personal auto liability coverage.
  • Must pass a preemployment drug screen TB Test and background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit.
  • Must adhere to agencys nondiscrimination policies.
  • Ability to effectively interact with coworkers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds religious views political affiliation cultural backgrounds lifestyles and sexual orientations and treat individuals with respect and dignity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect information regarding clients history through a combination of interviewing records review and consultation after obtaining written consent.
  • Conduct and document Mental Health Assessments including mental status exam DSM diagnosis and clinical formulation.
  • Develop treatment plan with client.
  • Participate in outreach activities necessary to offer services and engage participation in a noncoercive manner. Escort clients to meetings and appointments as necessary.
  • Participate in evaluating clients for risk of harm & initiate Directors Custody transport holds when appropriate.
  • Participate in clinical staff meetings and case conferences with team members in order to utilize interdisciplinary expertise and facilitate individual treatment plans for clients;
  • Collaborate with Residential facilities Adult Foster homes or other housing providers to provide necessary treatment services and coordinate residential and nonresidential treatment and service planning.
  • Participate in admission and discharge planning for any client needing hospitalization or subacute level of care. Client contact must be made within one working day of admission.
  • Monitor and assure that the health and safety needs of clients are met.
  • Maintain client records using an electronic medical record. Must be documented as required by program standards and funding requirements including documentation of clinical interactions behavioral health assessments & individual service plans.
  • Participate in regular supervision from the Clinical Supervisor seeking additional supervision whenever necessary. Minimum requirement two hours of documented supervision per month.
  • Attend required meetings and trainings.
  • Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 and to CCC policies and agreements regarding confidentiality privacy and security. Support compliance with all privacy and security requirements pursuant to community partners and outside providers patient confidentiality agreements including privacy and security requirements for EMR access. This includes immediately reporting any breach of protected health information or personal identification information of any person receiving CCC services by CCC or an outside provider to the CCC Compliance Department as well as to your supervisor or their designee.

DESCRIPTION OF OTHER DUTIES:

  • Conduct educational and therapeutic groups for clients using approved curriculum.
  • Coordinate services with all members of clients support network.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities as directed.
  • Assist with the development of an integrated treatment program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work courteously and effectively communicate with the general public clients medical personnel corrections personnel police and coworkers.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and necessary paperwork.
  • Knowledge of deescalation methods or ability to be trained in deescalation methods.
  • Ability to provide leadership.
