Job Description

As a People & Culture Advisor youll have the chance to partner with leaders across the organisation providing strategic HR guidance and driving key people initiatives.

This is a handson role that will see you working across the full HR remit with a mix of operational and tactical work. You will report to the Manager People and Culture working in a tightly knit group of professionals who genuinely care for each other and our stakeholders. Led by the Head of People and Culture youll collaborate across our wider P&C group which includes rewards & remuneration talent acquisition learning & development and workplace relations.

This generalist role requires expertise across all aspects of HR with a focus on ER & IR practices.

Youre a natural at building strong relationships with a knack for fostering trust and collaboration. With curiosity and drive youre committed to seeing things through.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with P&C Manager to deliver strategic People & Culture (P&C) outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice on HR best practices including performance management and talent development.
  • Coach leaders on employee performance and guide them through P&C processes to drive excellence.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for complex employee matters ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Support and lead change management initiatives and HR projects to foster continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Facilitate cyclical processes like performance evaluations compensation reviews and talent management ensuring followup actions are effectively implemented.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience in the generalist HR space as a HR Advisor People & Culture Advisor Business Partner or similar.
  • HR experience with a strong background in employee relations coaching and strategic HR initiatives.
  • Experience guiding senior leaders through change management processes.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to partner with all levels across the organisation.
  • Experience in developing and implementing successful HR projects.
  • HR experience in industries like construction water utilities or infrastructure that are heavily unionised.
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
