G10 Law APLC is a boutique AVRated real estate land use and litigation law firm seeking to hire a fulltime Legal Assistant. Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative functions including initiating drafting editing and finalizing correspondence agreements and/or other materials.
- Transcribe attorney dictation accurately and efficiently preparing correspondence memoranda and other legal documents as needed.
- Compile and organize client binders with important documents ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist attorneys with drafting and preparing shells for pleadings motions subpoenas discovery and other case memoranda.
- Coordinate with courts opposing counsel and other parties to schedule hearings file documents and arrange meetings.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining case files tracking case deadlines and ensuring all case information is up to date.
- Perform legal filings and calendaring in state and federal court.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions mediations and arbitrations.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trial including exhibit preparation and organization witness coordination and trial binder creation.
- Proofread work including correspondence memoranda and other legal documents.
- Perform administrative support functions such as scanning documents emailing documents to clients maintaining client files.
- Coordinate client appointments.
- Serve as backup support for receptionist handling calls directing inquiries and greeting clients in a professional and welcoming manner.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three 3 years of experience as a legal assistant; litigation experience or trust and estates experience preferred.
- Bachelors degree required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook Word PowerPoint and Excel).
- Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe including Bates numbing redacting and preparing documents for production.
- Excellent writing editing analytical and communication skills.
- The ability to multitask and manage your time at a high level showing resourcefulness and the ability to problem solve.
- Exceptional organizational and followup skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to manage tasks independently and cooperatively working with multiple attorneys and legal professionals.
- Professional demeanor dress and speech is essential.
