Job DescriptionTitle: Computer Support SpecialistEDUCATION: Associates Degree (or higher) or Applicable Certifications preferredEXPERIENCE: Prefer one year in a computer related environment. Experience in an educational setting is YEAR: Full Time/Full YearREPORTS TO: Director of Educational TechnologyOBJECTIVES OF POSITION:The Computer Support Specialist will work collaboratively with other technicians the technology instructional specialist building principals and Director of Educational Technology to support teachers and ensure that technology is working properly. This includes maintaining the technology inventory assessing needs of the inventory and supporting staff students and families in their technology Computer Support Specialist must be a selfstarter collaborative teamoriented detailoriented and possess strong customerservice skills. Additionally the IT Support Specialist must be an effective written and verbal communicator and possess effective analytical and problemsolving skills. Must possess the ability to work independently prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast moving :Provide effective support service to staff students and and maintain computer and peripheral equipment. Maintain a current and complete inventory of all technology equipment and upgrades and backup user all software webbased licenses and user accounts and manage access direct customer service to staff in equipment problems and initiate corrective staff lists and information on the records of repair requests and corrective action HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING:Networking ExperienceWindows and Mac OS Knowledge (Client Operating Systems)Familiarity with Windows Mac OS Google Suite for EducationPERSONAL TRAITS REQUIRED:Strong verbal and written communication skillsSelfstarter independent worker and effective problemsolverCollaborative team memberAbility to troubleshoot and prioritize problems and tasksAbility to multitaskExperience working in a school environmentFamiliarity with iPads Chromebooks JamF and Wireless Networks a ENVIRONMENT:Be able to work in a close environmentBe able to work in moderately noisy environmentBe able to handle frequent interruptionsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift physically and emotionally capable of carryingout responsibilities and duties in a busy digital environment. This position requires sustained physical activity such as sitting at a desk for several hours a day hand/wrist movement as in writing or using a computer keyboard/mouse. Other activities may include moderate to frequent exertion in body movements such as reaching bending and Requirements include the ability to read routine and complex documents and to use a computer.
