Under the supervision of the Managing Director of Student Services this position acts as a primary contact and integrative point across general education special education 504 MTSS health services and attendance. The Student Services Coordinator ensures seamless communication and effective data use between teams and provides critical support for meeting compliance and student support with and for Students:Aligning curricular standards with state guidelinesSupport classroom staff with the implementation of accommodations and progress shortterm academic and socialemotional support to facilitate successful and support students experiencing homelessness per the McKinneyVento services for students returning from emotionally impactful Section 504 CompliancePromoting health and wellness initiatives within the school and communityDocumenting annual unit and lesson plans correlated to state standardsMonitoring student progress through standardsbased assessmentsAnalyzing student dataDifferentiating instructionSupporting planning and coleading ServiceLearning projectsInput academic and behavioral data on the school data management systemAnalyze student data and monitor student progress through standardsbased assessmentsWorking with and for Families:Participate in Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences three times per yearCommunicate regularly with families about academic and social progressFacilitate the biweekly Attendance Committee and conduct reengagement outreach to familiesServe as the primary point of contact for students and families in the BRYT and organize student data to inform student services planning and trust and maintain consistent communication with students and families to external services and with and for ColleaguesBuild and maintain a strong school culture centered on student achievementAct as a communication and data hub for the Student Services Team across various functions including special education general education 504 MTSS attendance and health legal compliance and support staff in understanding and implementing all 504 processes including eligibility meetings documentation and family classroom staff with the implementation of accommodations and progress clear and timely coordination among departments to align support for reports to guide intervention monitor student progress and improve collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the success of the school missionParticipate in weekly professional development sessionsParticipate in weekly gradelevel team meetingsInputting academic and behavioral data into the school data management systemWho You Are: Masters degree in general education special education social work or counseling preferred. A professional license is highly desired. The license may be an educators license (general or special education) a license in social work or one in counseling. A bachelors degree holder with significant related work experience will be are committed to standardsbased teaching and work to build studentcentered learning environments. You respond proactively and reactively to the academic and socialemotional needs of students in their classrooms. You have a proven track record of achieving academic success with a diverse student are valuesaligned.
