The Department of Politics and Government offers majors in Political Science and in Legal Studies. We maintain 1520 tenure/nontenure track faculty members annually while serving roughly 400 majors and 120 minors. We offer classes in the following areas: American Government Comparative Politics International Relations Political Theory and Research Methodology. Legal Studies courses are geared to help students prepare for a paralegal career.
In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year the Department maintains a pool of qualified persons interested in parttime nontenure track teaching positions. Applications are accepted continuously and reviewed as vacancies become available.
