Job Summary
The Department of Politics and Government offers majors in Political Science and in Legal Studies. We maintain 1520 tenure/nontenure track faculty members annually while serving roughly 400 majors and 120 minors. We offer classes in the following areas: American Government Comparative Politics International Relations Political Theory and Research Methodology. Legal Studies courses are geared to help students prepare for a paralegal career.
In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year the Department maintains a pool of qualified persons interested in parttime nontenure track teaching positions. Applications are accepted continuously and reviewed as vacancies become available.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate
With a nonterminal degree on a fulltime contract starting at $5000 per month commensurate with experience and qualifications. (Parttime contracts prorated to the amount of time contracted (FTE). With a terminal degree on a fulltime contract starting
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelors degree in Political Science or a closely related field
2. State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Prior teaching experience
2. Masters degree in Social Science preferably Political Science Juris Doctor or a closely related field.
