Job Description
Position Title: Music Teacher
Terms of Employment: 190 days/year
Holy Trinity Catholic School is looking for a Music teacher to oversee our fine arts program. The music teacher is responsible for PK8th grade music instruction during the school day in addition to running our band and choral programs. We are looking for someone with knowledge of Liturgical Music as the music teacher leads choir at Mass weekly.
The teacher is hired by and is responsible to the principal. The duties of the teacher include but are not limited to:
COMMUNITY OF FAITH

INSTRUCTIONAL PROCESS
- Demonstrates evidence of prior planning and preparation.
- Uses effective teaching techniques strategies and skills during lesson.
- Demonstrates knowledge of curriculum and subject matter.
- Uses instructional time efficiently and effectively.
- Evaluates student progress effectively.
- Provides for individual differences.
- Demonstrates ability to motivate students.
- Maintains an atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Manages student behavior in a constructive manner.
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Works cooperatively with administration.
- Works as a team member with educational staff.
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations with students.
- Maintains positive interpersonal relations with parents and other members of the school community.
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND GROWTH
- Maintains professional manner in classroom and other school related settings.
- Demonstrates a sense of professional responsibility.
- Actively and cooperatively participates in responding to total school needs.
- Keeps abreast of development in curriculum and the learning process.
