Optometrist – Carbondale Illinois
FullTime Private Practice Medical Optometry & Surgical CoManagement
We’re seeking a dedicated Optometrist (OD) to join a highperforming practice in Carbondale Illinois. This role combines routine vision care with the opportunity to manage ocular diseases and comanage surgical patients in partnership with seasoned ophthalmologists.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams and manage vision correction
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of ocular diseases
- Comanage cataract LASIK and other surgical procedures
- Educate patients on preventative care and treatment options
- Maintain complete and accurate EHR documentation
- Travel between a few nearby practice locations as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited program
- Licensed or eligible in Illinois
- Strong diagnostic and communication skills
- Teamplayer with a patientfirst mindset
- Open to light travel between locations
Preferred Skills
- Surgical comanagement experience a plus
- Familiarity with EHR systems
- Bilingual preferred but not required
