We are seeking a dedicated Student Nurse to join our Oncology department in Baltimore. This per diem rotating position offers an excellent opportunity for nursing students to gain handson experience in oncology care while continuing their education.
- Assist registered nurses in delivering comprehensive patient care under direct supervision
- Participate in the implementation of patient care plans and treatment protocols
- Document patient information and care activities accurately in electronic health records
- Support routine nursing procedures and treatments
- Assist with patient monitoring and vital signs assessment
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Participate in patient and family education activities
- Assist with medication administration under supervision
- Report any changes in patient condition to supervising nurse
Qualifications :
- Currently enrolled and in good academic standing in an accredited prelicensure MSN BSN or ADN program
- Minimum grade of C or better in Fundamentals/Foundations of Nursing (transcript required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Physical ability to perform essential nursing functions
- Emotional resilience and ability to work in an oncology setting
- Basic understanding of oncology care principles
- Demonstrated attention to detail and patient safety
- Ability to work rotating shifts as scheduled
- Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required
