Job Description
Purpose
Works independently tracking forecasting and gaiting external spend for PDS&T programs. Works closely with Product Development Directors to ensure external spend is updated forecasted and gaited appropriately. Oversee and track actual spend for external activity. Review monthly payment schedules to track and update invoice activity.
Responsibilities
Accountable for oversight of forecasting gating analysis and reporting for external costs
Utilize internal systems to create collect summarize & analyze external spend..
Conduct monthly meetings with senior level project managers and directors.
Complete monthly external cost variance commentaries as required.
Work with crossfunctional partners to accurately track forecasted spend.
Accurately enter forecast and track actuals.
Challenge status quo ensuring accuracy of final deliverable.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree preferred 4 years relevant experience without Bachelors Degree; 68 years experience in accounting and financial reporting
- Flexible able to work with minimal supervision; have good analytical organizational & team skills as demonstrated by ability to work in a matrix environment.
- Familiar with basic financial/accounting principles with experience working with budgets & contracts required.
- Thorough knowledge of Excel & Microsoft Word.
- Ability to multitask effectively & efficiently as well as adapt quickly to change.
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools desired
