The Cost Analyst position will include but not be limited to the following capabilities:
Support program office and lifecycle cost estimate activities.
Assist develop update and apply mathematical and logical methodologies for estimating program costs.
Develop update manipulate and maintain cost and affordability models.
Support efforts in collecting normalizing and analyzing complex data.
Build and defend budget requirements.
Forecast future funding needs.
Evaluate contracting strategy and courses of action.
Conduct planning for acquisition of capabilities.
Identify sustainment cost impacts of acquisition decisions.
Identify interface maintenance funding requirements for all affected platforms/systems.
Manage solution delivery to a baselined schedule.
Provide a basis and supporting materials for briefings to management at the executive and oversight levels for all affected program/project funding requirements.
Work autonomously and as part of a team to meet organizational and project goals.
Lead in the preparation of briefing materials and other communications packages presenting the results of analysis.
Communicate and work with diverse organizations and representatives for data collection analysis and results presentation.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
US Citizenship is required.
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to lead detail-oriented tasks and multi-task under minimal supervision.
Ability to present analytical results to senior leaders/stakeholders.
Ability to manage and work with large data sets.
Possession of excellent data gathering and analytical skills.
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
High School Degree and a minimum of three years experience in Government cost estimating cost analysis data analytics or a combination of these areas.
Preferred: Bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. economics engineering mathematics operations research statistics or business).
Preferred: Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) or Professional Cost Estimator/Analyst (PCEA) Certification.
