Provide Program Management support for assigned Asset Team Subteams/working teams Serves as a core member of the assigned subteam(s) Serves as a key business partner for the asset subteam leader in developing core strategies and meeting the subteams goals Operates with a strategic crossfunctional mindset.
- Coordinates subteam activities deliverables and supports the subteam leader in driving crossfunctional alignment within subteam and structures subteam meetings and discussions to drive good decision making practices Ensures effective management of subteam meetings including scheduling agendas minutes action item followup
- Responsible for partnering with Asset Team PM and helping subteam prepare key messages and deliverables for and navigate the governance process effectively and appropriate use of each forum Ensures high performing subteam through monitoring and assessing teams performance and effective partnership with the subteam lead and Asset Team PM
- Supports development of subteam plans and drives aligned for functional components In partnership with the subteam lead drives development of (and participates in) creation of subteam plans and deliverables to inform asset strategy and to translate asset strategy into by the subteam and associated functions Maintains awareness of upcoming deliverables as a part of the asset development lifecycle to ensure subteam preparedness
- Proactively identifies challenges or potential issues for both within subteam and partnering with asset PM crossfunctionally managing or escalating as appropriate
- Ensure accurate and timely tracking and reporting of subteam deliverables and identification communication and management of subteam risks Partners with project planners to ensure appropriate and accurate tracking and reporting of team deliverable timelines Maintains operational awareness of the subteam deliverables and upcoming needs by the asset team Ensures appropriate team document management practices and repository of key program information for the subteam
- Partners with subteam members to proactively identify communicate and manage subteam risks including escalation as appropriate for asset level risks
- Actively participates in the advancement of Program Management and asset development at AbbVie Proactively seek learnings from other teams and share best practices Partners with colleagues in the PM organization and subteams to seek process improvement opportunities and participate as needed in developing and implementing change Actively champions the AbbVie drug development process for assigned subteams and seek opportunities to increase subteam effectiveness within the AbbVie model
Qualifications :
The selection for the position will be made based on the following qualifications.
- 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a variety of roles in at least one role/functional area associated with drug development (research and development commercial project management operations)
- 4 years in a crossfunctional project / program management role
- Strong program management skills and knowledge of program management practices in the pharmaceutical industry and common tools utilized
- Welldeveloped communication skills both written and oral
- Welldeveloped strategic thinking and leadership skills
- Preferred: Experience in late stage drug development including being a part of a launch team Experience with both global and regional teams in the pharmaceutical industry
