Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital is a premiere clinical and academic health system providing expert pediatric care for infants children and teens with some of the most challenging medical problems. With more than half of the 259 beds in our teaching hospital devoted to intensive care level services we are the regional pediatric referral center for Floridas west coast. Physicians and community hospitals count on us to care for critically ill patients and perform complex surgical procedures.

As a Pediatric Vascular Access Registered Nurse you will be responsible for:

• Providing vascular access nursing care.
• Insertion of peripheral intravenous catheters and PICCs for patients from infancy to adult using vascular visualization devices including ultrasound.
• Patient/family education.
• Consulting with staff related to vascular access devices and complications of vascular access.
• Caring for and maintaining vascular access devices and clinical interventions for PICC issues: including clearance of occluded catheters removal of catheters with resistance dressing protocols for skin issues.
• Providing unitbased education.

Shifts: 12 hours nights 36 hours per week)

Who Should Apply:

• RN License required. FL State or Compact License.
• BSN preferred.
• A minimum of 1 yearRN experience Pediatric experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in ER Cath Lab or CVICU preferred.
• Applicants with an Associates degree in nursing will be considered and must obtain BSN within 36 months of hire.

Salary Range: Minimum35.56/hour Maximum52.80/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
