Position Summary:

Level one shipping/receiving clerks work under direct supervision to complete basic shipping and receiving shipping and rec. clerks will be forklift certified and will be expected to demonstrate computer skills. Typically 1 year of experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Count and bag the parts that are delivered to the shipping department.
• Use the computer system to generate the shipments
• Pull inventory based on the customer order; count bag and box them.
• Use protective packaging for preventing damage during transport as well as individually bagging boxing taping weighing counting and placing on pallets for shipping.
• Receive in goods verifying paperwork and documents. Rebag and tag products to put into inventory as well as.
• Use Shipping services such as UPS and Fed Ex to prepare shipments.
• Attach documents and labels to boxes for shipments
• Assist in loading or unloading product as needed.
• Assist in other departments/areas as needed.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add subtract multiply and divides in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to count and maintain shipment accuracy.

Computer Skills

• To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of intermediate computer use.

Required Experience

• A minimum of at least 1 year experience in industry or related field.

Level of Education

• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.

Pay

• Compensation for this role is based on a combination of skills experience certifications and performance. Shipping/Receiving Level 1 $17.00 $22.00
