Our borough has a vibrant and flourishing voluntary and community sector (third sector) which delivers important services for our residents. As set out in the H&F Planour ambition is to maintain a strong and capable third sector that is well equipped to support our rapidly changing communities.
To do that we need the help of a Grant Monitoring Officer to play a critical role in maximising the benefits residents can expect from H&Fs grant investments. You will also take a leading role in managing the H&F Community Compass: a new digital signposting platform for all local Voluntary and Community Organisations. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a major community investment programme.
You will be analytical in your approach to monitoring the delivery of grant funded services and work with council officers and local groups to improve how we work together. You will be diligent confident and personable in working with a range of stakeholders. You will have the knowledge and skills to use effective systems and reporting methods around grant giving. You will also work out in the community visiting services to see the benefits of our grants first hand.
H&Fs investment in the sector is spearheaded by our Third Sector Investment programme which provides over 3 million to local groups. Your focus will be on measuring the impact of this programme celebrating its success and managing any challenges in delivery. Where grants are not delivering as expected you will be confident in taking a positive approach to remedy issues.
You will sit within the Councils Policy and Programme Management Office Team which seeks to drive ambitious and effective policy development and project management practices across the council. You will deputise on occasion for the Grants Programme Lead to provide resilience within the team.
