Housekeeper Laundry Aide
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Hours: Parttime days.
Duties:
Receives and follows oral or written work assignment from supervisor on a daily and monthly schedule.
Cleans resident and nonresident areas such as residents rooms bathrooms utility rooms halls offices etc. in the manner stated in the procedures so that a high level of cleanliness is maintained in the home.
Reads chemical names distinguishes appropriate chemical for task and dilution ratio and handles chemicals in safe manner to protect self residents and fellow staff members.
Lifts objects including water mop buckets and garbage bags weighing up to 50 lbs.
Sweeps dusts mops and vacuums floors clean carpets washes windows and bedframes and mattresses dusts as needed.
Follows safety practices including but not limited to: floor signage locked closets and properly stored chemicals.
Performs housekeeper job duties as directed by supervisor.
Performs duties according to the highest ethical and moral standards and in adherence with the facilitys corporate compliance plan and all applicable governing laws.
Adheres to the facilitys confidentiality statement in accessing and safeguarding protected health information (PHI) of residents and employees as necessary to perform job duties.
Collects washes irons and returns resident clothing to Rehab unit.
Launders items not sent to the commercial laundry such as blankets bed spreads drapes cubicle curtains and pillows. Assures return of items to resident care areas.
Distinguishes nonwashable items (such as dry cleaning) and returns them to the unit.
Launders and prepares the washable cleaning supplies used in the building (cleaning clothes mop heads).
Lifts objects such as laundry bags and supply boxes up to 50 lbs.
Distributes attends to nursing unit.
Reads attends distribution lists; counts appropriate number of attends per resident statistics; delivers to rooms and records amount distributed keeps weekly and monthly.
Pickup laundry dry and return to outpatient service departments all linens and professional wear on a daily basis.
Follows proper infection control related to handling of laundry.
Ability to read and write successful completion of English Comprehensive Screening. Ability to follow oral and written directions and communicate orally and in writing to supervisor. Ability to cooperate with other staff members. Ability to use equipment as required for the job.
