Job Description:
The Specialist Systems Engineer will be responsible for performing as part of a team that supports the requirements design development test and integration of complex specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne ISR and communication platforms. While System Engineering/Integration skills are required the emphasis of this position will be on Information Assurance (I/A) and Authority To Operate (ATO) coordination with customer.
Essential Functions:
- Network configuration and security experience.
- Obtaining and maintaining a government network ATO (Authorization to Operate).
- Familiarity with government risk/vulnerability scans.
- Working with subcontractors and US Government customers.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- EMASS and XACTA experience.
- Translate requests of the customer into system level requirements.
- Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements.
- Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system design.
- Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical network information to nontechnical professionals.
- Have experience developing authoring and implementing N/W and system test plans in a team environment.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in related field with four(4 years of Network configuration and security experience.
- In lieu of a degree minimum of ten 10 years of Network configuration and secruity experience.
- Prefer CCNA or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI.
- Must be a US Citizen.
