Summary Statement
A variety of seasonal park positions may be available at Auburn Valley State Park:
$15.00/hour This position is responsible for the custodial cleaning of bathrooms facilities and offices along with the maintenance of grounds facilities and equipment in the park.
Support: $15.00/hour position will staff the park office providing customer service such as explaining regulations responding to visitor inquiries selling annual passes and providing information about the park and surrounding areas.
Work is performed indoors and outdoors weekends evenings and holidays as scheduled to meet facility needs.
Essential Functions

Custodial/Grounds:
May perform grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing trimming athletic field maintenance landscape bed maintenance trash removal vegetation removal leaf removal and snow/ice removal.
May perform custodial services in restrooms offices and other buildings.
Provide customer services by explaining regulations answering visitor requests needs and complaints and providing information about the park and surrounding areas.
Must be able to demonstrate responsibility dependability and good communication skills.
Maintain a positive attitude.
Other duties as assigned.
Administrative Support:
Collects appropriate fees and accountability for handling of money.
Maintains and compiles fiscal and narrative records and reports.
Serves as liaison with the public clients staff and others to exchange information and explain services rules regulations policies and procedures.
Must be able to demonstrate responsibility dependability and good communication skills.
Maintain a positive attitude.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

Applicants must have education training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
Maintenance Custodial/Grounds
be at least 18 years of age.
using landscaping equipment and hand or power tools. (Grounds only)
of a valid drivers license (not suspended revoked or cancelled or disqualified from driving.
Administrative Support
months customer service experience.
months experience in cash handling writing receipts.
months experience in using standard computer software programs for word processing spreadsheets or databases.

This is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a nonpension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits.
