The position is located in the Bioprocess Research Department within the Process Research unit of pREDs Large Molecules Research where the early technical development of next generation biotherapeutics is the primary focus. We closely collaborate with technical and biological functions to convert molecule sequences into innovative therapeutics.
Job mission
We are offering an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Bioprocess Scientist (m/f/d) to work with a highly engaged team of bioprocess biotechnology and automation/IT specialists. You will be responsible for the development of downstream processes of next generation antibodybased therapeutic molecules. In close collaboration with our internal and external partners you are driving technologies and strategies for excellent process development to transition innovative molecules to patients. Furthermore we are looking for an enthusiastic people leader. Your leadership responsibility is to coach approximately ten associates.
Your impact
Contributing to transition molecules form the research phase to patients.
Shaping and evolving projects with complex antibody formats by applying novel technologies.
Supporting the department strategy and supporting the evolution of bioprocess development strategies platforms and automation technology. Your knowledge in data analysis turns our data into valuable insights.
Coaching associates to enable growth and development.
Your profile
You are dedicated to establishing a culture of mutual support crosstraining continuous learning and selforganization to meet project and functional goals. You have a PhD in biology biochemistry biotechnology or a related field and at least 5 years of professional experience in the biotech or pharma industry
Your extensive professional experience in bioprocessing especially downstream processing of large molecules enables you to lead crossfunctional teams and support portfolio projects. This means we can also trust in your leadership experience.
You are a recognized expert in automation of downstream processing to develop antibodybased molecules
You know how to handle big data sets and turn data into insights
You have a keen interest in developing development strategies enabling accelerated project timelines while considering endtoend requirements
You are resourceful and flexible in problem solving and in working in a collaborative and inclusive manner with strong oral and written communication skills
