In NC we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our Product Supply Aseptic Manufacturing (PS AM) facility in Clayton NC is a 457000 square foot aseptic fill and finish site that is responsible for producing innovative injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. The Position

As a Project Manager 3 on our team youll dive into a dynamic and fastpaced environment where collaboration problemsolving and engaging with our internal stakeholders are the name of the game. Our projects focus on Aseptic Production (formulation filling inspection) Finished Production (assembly and packaging) and the Automation that keeps everything running smoothly. Essential Functions

  • Project Management:
    • Lead multidisciplined project teams to complete projects ontime onbudget meeting all requirements (quality cost schedule)
    • Develop & execute assigned project plans in accordance with the scope schedule quality impact & cost objectives
    • Lead multidisciplined project team(s) to include negotiating required staffing with LOB & assisting with required training of personnel supporting the project
    • Develop project staffing plans considering both internal & external (contingent/consultant) workers needed to support projects to include assembling the project team & manage tasks & time closely for external staff to ensure budget alignment
    • Provide project cash flow projections and highlevel schedule projections to support Budget Cycles (AB RE LE)
    • Refine business case with project owner/sponsor
    • Establish & communicate quantifiable project benefits
    • Manage coordinate & direct contract resources & internal resources
    • Refine & clarify project scope through early project analysis with subject matter experts & owners to further substantiate project purpose
    • Provide clear goals so that the project secures effective use of time & resources & builds employee motivation
  • Develop bid packages bid evaluation & drive vendor selection. Also work with procurement to create project specific contracts
    • Accountable for financial project through purchase order creation management invoicing & cost forecasting
    • Monitor & control project work with stringent followup on quality schedule & budget so that the project delivers the desired endproduct
    • Monitor & report project progress communications to management & other stakeholders & presentation in steering groups
    • Ensure the quality/content of steering group status & gate presentations
    • Review approve & endorse project related procurement (i.e. purchase orders & bid events)
  • Support building managing & improving Project Portfolio Management systems (PMO Tools)
    • Ensure alignment with global programs & other site projects to actively share best practice knowledge & visions
    • Ensure all facets of the program lifecycle align with expectations set forth by the STG &/or project owner
    • Support project manager mentoring & onboarding
  • Line of Business Program Management:
    • Partner with Line of Business to develop project roadmaps (i.e. 13year plan) & master plan 3 year)
    • Work with Line of Business to track area obsolescence to support site master plan
    • Establish & maintain a project related downtime tracking tool
  • Indirect Reporting of PMO Staff:
    • Primary communication & escalation path with PMO staff via 1:1 (providing feedback) Steering Group meetings etc.
    • Assist other Project Managers to ensure the quality/content of steering group status & gate presentations
    • Consult with PMO manager on PM assignments & performance
    • Process confirm use of the PMO tools & standards
    • Assist Project Managers with review approval & endorsement of project related procurement (i.e. purchase orders & bid events)
    • Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other accountabilities as assigned

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10 of the time. can change on a casebycase basis based on the role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or other Technical Science field of study from an accredited university required; or
  • May consider an associates degree in engineering technology or other Technical Science field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of ten 10 years of proven project management experience required; or
  • May consider a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of twelve 12 additional years experience of proven project management required
  • Minimum of eight 8 years of proven project management experience required
  • Leading change management projects required
  • Leading complex & major capital expenditure projects required
  • Minimum of three 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment required
  • Advanced project management competencies obtained through relevant project management training or experience preferred
  • Excellent writing & oral communication skills; presentation & facilitation skills; & negotiation & conflict resolution skills required
  • Ability to work in both technical & nontechnical areas required
  • Ability to use creativity to resolve problems that arise during project required
  • Knowledge of Lean principles & how they apply in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Understanding of product documentation & standard operating procedures required
  • Ability to create & manage work plans & detailed project schedules required
  • Strong analytical/reasoning organizational & multitasking skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with key stakeholders in a crosscultural environment & demonstrates superior written & oral communication skill required
  • Develops & maintains strong internal & external relationship required
  • Proficient in basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office required
  • Ability to function independently as well as of good judgement in decision making & strong leadership skills required
  • Functions well in team environment is required
  • Meets objectives demonstrating strong change management skills required
  • Proven project management experience with direct management of multiple projects simultaneously required
  • Proven expertise in planning/organizing managing & revising the work plan for cross functional project teams
  • Proven expertise in mentoring/development planning/organizing managing & revising the work plan for complex problems solved by cross functional teams required
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking in problem solving required
  • Ability to utilize strategic thinking skills in long range planning required
