Staff Software Engineer Full Stack

As a Staff Engineer for the SaaS platform billing area you will play a key role in transforming Nextivas billing & usage monitoring systems. The ideal candidate would be a selfstarter with great technical communication and problemsolving skills. This role requires someone with the abilities to lead a project from the ground up and be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining all aspects of the products billing components. Your work will directly impact the ability to accurately track usage and generate revenue.

Responsibilities

• Be involved in every stage of the project from ideation and system design to delivering products and features in a timely manner.
• Build robust scalable and maintainable software.
• Improve code quality through writing unit tests automation and code reviews.
• Read write and review design documents
• Apply and advocate for team coding documenting and testing standards.
• Lead code reviews and communicate application changes.
• Provide technical leadership mentorship and guidance to engineers on the team
• Collaborate closely with internal teams as well as stakeholders
• Implement and influence business and operational systems that support billing and usage monitoring needs.

Basic Qualifications

• 8 years of handson experience in Java Kafka fullstack development and distributed architectures leading engineering teams to build scalable resilient SaaS platforms.
• Proven expertise in Java Spring Boot and backend service development for distributed systems.
• Strong experience with Kafka for eventdriven architectures and realtime data streaming.
• Core Cloud (AWS/GCP) platform expertise.
• Indepth knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases cloud platforms and DevOps practices.
• Experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures with focus on scalability and resilience.
• Some experience in modern frontend development using React and TypeScript.

Preferred skills

• Domain knowledge in the area of billing and billing systems.
• Prior experience in designing coding and implementing web applications
• Ability to swiftly develop prototypes and minimum viable products for fullstack projects
• Aptitude for learning and adapting to innovative technologies
• Strong team player and individual contributor
• Adept at debugging and quick problemsolving
