Job Description

Summary
Simplot Grower Solutions is looking to fill a seasonal Truck Driver/Warehouse positions. Fulltime and Parttime temporary opportunities are available with full benefits and the opportunity for substantial overtime hours. The primary responsibility is to operate trucks deliver fertilizer and chemicals and assist with plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Performs varied responsibilities such as:
- Driving tender truck ensuring timely deliveries to customers and applicators
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal laws and regulations (pretrip load securement etc.
- Maintain a clean vehicle
- Maintain safety policy and completing training
- Accurately complete daily pretrip inspections and notify supervisors of any needed repairs

Typical Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Skills & Relevant Experience
- Truck driving experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of local rural geography is a plus
- Knowledge of farm operations is a plus
- Experience operating a manual transmission a plus
- Ag background preferred
Requirements
- Must hold and maintain a Class A or B CDL and appropriate driving record; or ability to obtain a Season Class B
- Must hold and maintain a DOT Medical Certificate card
- Must pass a DOT/Preemployment drug screen
- HazMat & Tanker Endorsements preferred
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- AgIndustry Hours Must be willing to work overtime and weekends to meet seasonal demands.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job
