We are seeking a talented individual to join our Wealth Investments team at Mercer. This role can be based in Pittsburgh Chicago Houston or St. Louis and it is a hybrid role with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As an Retirement Investment Associate you will be responsible for supporting the ongoing provision of investment advice to a wide range of institutional clients (e.g. defined benefit defined contribution other qualified and nonqualified investment plans etc.. You will have the opportunity to analyzing different investment markets managers investment styles and portfolio characteristics and evaluating their impacts on investment performance.

We will count on you to:

  • Examine and monitor developments at investment management firms and communicate to clients as appropriate
  • Act as project manager ensuring that high quality client deliverables are delivered on deadline delegating work to analysts providing guidance and ensuring peer review
  • Produce accurate and detailed client reports through analysis of clientspecific investment data including ongoing investment performance and manager monitoring
  • Communicate with investment managers and custodians to gather and/or clarify clientspecific data for reporting or any other client related matters
  • Play a key role in investment manager searches investment structure reviews mutual fund selection asset allocation studies new business presentations and other investmentrelated activities
  • Attend and participate in quarterly or adhoc client meetings
  • Analyze and edit investment policy statements
  • Conduct strategic portfolio structure and asset allocation analysis

What you need to have:

  • A bachelors degree from an accredited college/institution with demonstrated work in business/investmentrelated courses
  • 25 years of investmentrelated experience or work with a recordkeeper
  • Selfmotivation with ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Ability to multitask manage multiple priorities and work in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical project management and communication skills
  • Adaptability sound judgement and highlevel attention to detail
  • Eagerness to learn and keep up to date with the investment industry and market conditions
  • Good technical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint
  • Willing to travel for client meetings 510

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Officebased teams will identify at least one anchor day per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $65000 to $129500.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience skills training location certifications education and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a casebycase basis. In addition to the base salary this position may be eligible for performancebased incentives.
