About the Role:
As the Area Training Manager Back of House at Din Tai Fung you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our kitchen operations maintain the highest standards of food safety quality and efficiency. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a robust training culture leading training initiatives and providing feedback to improve our training programs and tools specifically for the back of house (BOH) operations.
Responsibilities:
Build a Network of Certified Trainers:
Identify and develop Certified Trainers in each restaurant to ensure consistent and highquality training across all locations.
Foster relationships with restaurant management teams to support the development and effectiveness of Certified Trainers.
Analyze Learning Needs and Collaborate on Training Programs:
Assess fieldbased learning needs through regular evaluations and feedback from kitchen teams.
Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to design develop and implement effective training programs tools and resources that address identified needs.
Lead and Coordinate Training Initiatives:
Organize and lead training sessions workshops and seminars within restaurants to ensure all back of house staff are welltrained and equipped to deliver exceptional food safety and quality.
Coordinate training schedules and ensure timely delivery of training programs.
Provide Feedback on Policies and Programs:
Gather and provide feedback to the Learning and Development team and other support center teams regarding the effectiveness of current policies procedures programs and tools.
Recommend improvements and adjustments based on field observations and feedback from back of house staff.
Build and Maintain a Sustainable Training Culture:
Promote and sustain a training culture that aligns with Din Tai Fungs purpose values and business strategy.
Encourage continuous learning and professional development among back of house staff to enhance their skills and career growth.

Job Requirements:
Proven experience in back of house operations within the restaurant industry.
Minimum 12 years of training experience
Multiunit management experience.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
Experience in training and development preferably in a kitchen environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
Passion for training development and continuous improvement.
Flexibility to travel to different restaurant locations as needed.
