JOB SUMMARY

The IT Support & Systems Specialist plays a key role in maintaining and supporting the organizations daytoday technology operations. This position ensures PWCs staff can rely on consistent access to computers mobile devices networks and software tools that enable our mission. The specialist provides handson technical support performs routine system maintenance and collaborates across departments to resolve IT issues maintain cybersecurity standards and improve technology usage.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as the first point of contact for ITrelated support across the organization

Install configure and maintain computer hardware software phone systems printers and tablets

Troubleshoot and resolve user issues with desktops laptops networks and mobile devices

Assist in ensuring security and functionality of all technology platforms including antivirus passwords and software updates

Provide enduser training and support for software applications (e.g. Microsoft 365 companyspecific programs)

Maintain uptodate records of service requests IT equipment inventory and system documentation

Test new equipment or applications prior to largescale implementation

Coordinate with thirdparty vendors or contractors for complex IT repairs or upgrades

Assist with backup procedures and basic disaster recovery processes

Support both onsite and remote staff occasionally requiring travel to field offices or job sites

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree in information technology computer science or related technical field
  • At least 2 years of experience in an IT support or systems administration role
  • Handson knowledge of Windows OS Microsoft 365 desktop support and basic networking
  • Valid drivers license preferred
  • Proficiency with desktop and mobile hardware printers networking devices and standard productivity software

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in an ITrelated field
  • Experience supporting users in a nonprofit or community service environment
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols and data privacy standards
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A Network or Microsoft certifications a plus
  • Experience supporting mobile device management (MDM) cloudbased file storage or fieldbased staff

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:


Physical Activities:

Frequent 5075: Standing walking using hands reaching lifting items up to 25 pounds

  • Occasional 1545: Crawling under desks climbing ladders carrying equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Intermittent (Less than 15: Travel between office sites

Mental Demands:

  • Frequent 5075: Problem solving attention to detail effective communication time management
  • Occasional 1545: Training others documentation multitasking under time pressure

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Primarily officebased with frequent visits to other internal departments or field locations
Occasional work in storage rooms equipment areas or minor exposure to dusty or noisy environments
