Job Description

Job Summary:
Joining our team as the Juvenile Community Corrections & Prevention Services Financial Administrative Assistant means providing crucial support to the JCAPS Department. This role involves performing a variety of administrative clerical and technical tasks to ensure the accurate and timely of duties including gathering detailed information about youths referred to the Juvenile Intake and Assessment Center (JIAS).

Job Competencies:
1. Typing and proofreading diverse documents.
2. Establishing and organizing filing systems.
3. Managing calendars schedules and events.
4. Handling mail deposits and documents.
5. Answering and directing calls.
6. Preparing and submitting reports promptly.
7. Assisting with clerical tasks and data entry.
8. Updating website social media and brochures.
9. Managing payments and purchase orders.
10. Reconciling financial reports accurately.
11. Assisting with budget proposals and grant applications.
12. Ensuring compliance with financial guidelines.
13. Compiling data for reports and documents.
14. Supporting meeting preparation and minutetaking.
15. Maintaining updated lists and records.
16. Serving as Secretary for the JCAPS Advisory Board.
17. Maintaining Notary Public license.
18. Managing and restocking supplies.
19. Assisting offenders in accessing resources.
20. Enforcing legal compliance.
21. Performing additional assigned duties.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
Clean criminal record with no felony convictions.
Valid drivers license required.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Understanding of governmental operations and KDOC Juvenile Services guidelines.
Knowledge of juvenile statutes court processes and evidence maintenance.
Ability to conduct substance use testing and enforce compliance.
Strong organizational time management and problemsolving skills.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in computer use math and multitasking.
Capability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
