Job Description

Hiring Opportunity: Brooklyn Heights Ohio

Our client is a process piping and mechanical contractor who serves the Midwest Region. Our clients expertise is in mechanical processes which includes process piping welding fire protection HVAC and plumbing.

As a 6G Certified Pipe Welder you will play a pivotal role in the fabrication and installation of critical piping systems for various projects. You will be responsible for welding pipes in a 6G position ensuring that the work meets industry standards for quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

Perform pipe welding using the 6G welding position on various materials while adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards.
Stainless Steel Tig Welding
Interpret and follow technical drawings blueprints and welding procedures to ensure accurate and precise welding.
Prepare materials for welding including cutting fitting and cleaning to ensure optimal joint integrity.
Inspect completed welds visually and using nondestructive testing (NDT) methods to verify quality and conformance to specifications.
Maintain and care for welding equipment and tools reporting any malfunctions or defects promptly.
Strictly adhere to safety regulations and procedures promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.
Work closely with other team members including pipefitters and supervisors to ensure efficient project completion.
Maintain accurate records of work performed including welding logs and quality control documentation.
Stay updated on industry trends welding techniques and equipment advancements to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

Must hold a valid 6G welding certification.
Proven experience as a pipe welder with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding specifications.
Strong commitment to workplace safety with knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing highquality work.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
