Job Description
Machine Operator Elkhart IN
All Shifts 1st 2nd 3rd up to $18/hr.
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and safetyconscious Heavy Industrial Machine Operator. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery such as presses forges stamping machines or similar equipment in an industrial setting. The Heavy Industrial Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up machines monitoring operations and ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong technical knowledge attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate heavy industrial machinery according to specifications and production requirements.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure it operates efficiently and safely.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during production and make adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds throughout the entire shift.
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy machinery operation and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals blueprints or schematics.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks on finished products.
- Able to be flexible and move from job to job as priorities change
- Must be able to operate forklifts scissor lifts and bucket lifts as needed.
- Ability to stand walk bend and stoop.
- Ability to use hands to finger handle and feel.
- Specific vision abilitiesfor various jobs include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
- Ability to understand and communicate (talkreadhear) work instructions.
