THE OPPORTUNITY

Join Michelin in Covington GA as a Business Unit Leader (Experienced) GEO to lead a dynamic team in worldclass manufacturing operations. Guide 3050 hardworking individuals towards flawless performance goals.

Your goal is to guide the manufacturing operations in Covington Georgia towards achieving outstanding safety quality and cost objectives. By influencing and encouraging growth within your team youll play a pivotal role in the success and advancement of our manufacturing processes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Provide leadership support and direction to empower 3050 wage production operators to achieve their common objectives.
• Work effectively with maintenance quality and other teams to meet daily/annual performance goals and continuous improvement efforts.
• Develop employees through mentoring plans and work closely with your team members to improve their capabilities through effective performance management.
• Monitor the short and longterm needs of the facility to ensure succession needs are met and employees are afforded opportunities for development and career growth.
• Facilitate the identification and implementation of process and team improvements.
• Coordinate with the supplier of forklift drivers to ensure smooth operations and support to your team.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Willingness to work in an industrial plant environment (MondayFriday on day shift) and support the 24 hours 7 days operations as necessary.
• Proven experience leading teams: clear goals effective task delegation feedback positive work environment. Military background advantageous.
• A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in achieving longterm goals and learning something new.
• 35 years of successful employee performance management (including attendance efficiency skill development and team management) is preferred.
• The ability to interact in a professional manner with internal partners suppliers customers and colleagues.
• Microsoft Excel data analysis proficiency. Microsoft Power BI would be a plus.
