Design Technology Teacher
Start Date: April 2025
End Date: May 2025 (with potential to extend)
Hours: 8:30am 3:15pm
Were currently looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Pickering for a shortterm assignment with potential for extension.
This role involves full teaching responsibilities including planning and marking. Youll be teaching KS3 and KS4 students in a wellresourced department with supportive staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging Design Technology lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
Plan and prepare lessons in line with the national curriculum
Mark and assess student work providing constructive feedback
Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment
Work collaboratively with the DT department and wider school team
Support pupils of varying abilities ensuring all students are included and challenged
Planning & Marking Required
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Design Technology in a secondary setting
Strong classroom management skills
A commitment to highquality teaching and learning
