About the Role

Joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team on a permanent part time basis you will support people with disability in shared housing or in their own home providing various supports including personal care and daily living. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster.

Providing support to people with disability living inChifleythe successful candidate will have experience working in a Group Home/Supported Independent Living setting and have a range of experience across including working with behaviour support plans personal care manual handling and confidence in driving a wheelchair van. To provide best support to the people we are supporting you will also hold a relevant qualification.

Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the set fortnightly rosters below:

35.5 hours per fortnight:

  • Week 1: Wed 2:308pm and Thu 4:3011pm
  • Week 2: Tue 2:308pm Fri 38pm Sat 28pm and Sun 9am 4pm

39.5 hours per fortnight:

  • Week 1: Wed 2:308pm Thu 3:308pm Fri 9am2pm and Sun 6am2pm
  • Week 2: Mon 3:308pm Tue 6am2:30pm and Wed 69:30am

40.5 hours per fortnight:

  • Week 1: Mon 38pm Tue 7am 3pm and Fri 3:308pm
  • Week 2: Tue 3:308pm Wed 69:30am Thu 3:308pm Fri 9am2pm and Sun 2:308pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow personcentred support and behaviour plans
  • Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
  • Maintain thorough record keeping
  • Build positive relationships with clients families and colleagues
  • Advocate for client choice and control

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with people with disability in a group home/SIL setting
  • Relevant qualification e.g. Cert III/IV in Disability (or similar)
  • Previous experience working with behaviour support plans
  • Confidence in driving a wheelchair van
  • Manual Handling and Personal care experience
  • An unrestricted Australian drivers licence
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
