Job Description

Our client is seeking a Director of Training and Development who is responsible for the leadership management and implementation of clients Training and Development programs and resources. This role involves working closely with the clients Executive Committee and its department heads to understand create and deliver a holistic approach to training clientsspecific systems processes and clients culture such that client delivers highquality consistent service to its customers and all stakeholders. The Director of Training and Development is tasked with implementing and maintaining an approach to training and development that uses contemporary technologies and methods that result in a bestinclass learning experience that is effective and viewed by the industry as best practice. The objectives and responsibilities of this position will be accomplished via the leadership and management of direct staff through personal handson efforts and through the coaching mentoring and training of management and thirdparty educational resources.

Responsibilities
To work closely with CLIENTSs Executive Committee to define and provide the required knowledge needed for existing and new people to function effectively with CLIENTSs systems processes and culture (i.e.: the CLIENTS Way). This includes a rigorous approach to training on how CLIENTSs workflow (CLIENTSPC) and financial systems (VISTA) are used along with a variety of other subjects such as culture (CLIENTS ethics MPV conflict management dispute escalation/resolution etc. safety ICS infrastructure etc.;
To keep CLIENTSs staff current with the body of knowledge that is required to function as a bestinclass leader in the niche markets that CLIENTS pursues;
To manage and further develop the intellectual infrastructure that supports the growth and development of the people in the CLIENTS organization who are seeking to better themselves;
To work with subject matter experts to create and/or update training collateral;
To manage the system of documenting training and education that keeps our employees current with regulatory client and CLIENTSrequired education and continuing education requirements;
To lead and manage CLIENTS University to deliver training in a comprehensive manner that includes: webbased learning (CLIENTSU and other 3rd party sources); classroom and small group training; mentoring coaching and other forms of formal and informal learning;
To work with CLIENTS HR and CLIENTSs leadership collectively to understand measure and develop the intellectual capacity of its employees and the collective knowledge of the organization;
To stay connected to the AEC industry to identify and stay current with new and evolving technologies processes and practices.
Minimum Qualifications
BS degree in engineering construction management or a related field;
A Masters Degree in education;
A minimum of 10 years of experience in developing and delivering training/education;
A Project Management Institute PMP Certification or similar professional credential;
The ability to lead and manage a small staff and to collaboratively function with leadership and staff;
A comprehensive knowledge of contemporary training and development tools and processes that includes the use and management of a webbased learning management system and asymmetric learning tools such as Scormcompliant elearning;
The ability to work with subject matter experts to understand and develop and/or edit construction industryrelated educational materials;
The ability to evaluate company performance data to identify patterns in which training could minimize underperformance and address knowledge gaps;
Strong writing and recordkeeping skills;
Knowledge of database management and software used throughout the construction industry.
